The Rutherford County Courthouse!
Recently I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and it totally rocked my world. I was scared and was unsure of what I could and couldn't eat. My doctor recommended that I go to the Murfreesboro Farmer's Market to get food because most of the food doesn't have as many carbs and sugar since it's local and not mass produced. I told her I'd give it a shot and stopped by the market the following weekend.
I had never been to the farmer's market before and didn't realize how popular it was! One of the things that immediately caught my eye was a melon stand, they looked delicious! I had my camera on me so I told myself I'd swing back by and pick one up when I was done taking pictures.

Tons of different types of produce!
The variety of different fruits and veggies was pretty impressive. Everything looked appetizing too, I really wanted to take one of everything home with me.
It wasn't all fruits and vegetables though, there were several stands selling jams and spices. I didn't pick any of those up unfortunately, but there's always next time!
A stand selling to two customers!
Quite the crowd!
As I said before, I didn't realize how popular the farmer's market was! I'm not complaining, it's genuinely nice to see the community come together every weekend for this.
Don't these look delicious? I wanted to get a bag of these homemade chips but they probably aren't the healthiest choice for someone who just got diagnosed with diabetes.

Live Music!
Now this is funny, I thought the music surrounding the market was coming from a speaker or something, little did I know there was actually a woman behind the courthouse playing the violin!
While I didn't leave with much, I really enjoyed my time at the farmer's market. The atmosphere is great, everyone seems super friendly, and there's always new produce every Saturday. I think I might start my own little tradition and head over there every Saturday.
